The ramen is a good choice, and so is the Katsu. Good lunch deals and great selection of drinks including sake. Good staff.

Sooooo good! I had two sushi that I've never seen before on any menu. They were really good. I even had one simple spicy Salmon. IT WAS THE BEST simple spicy I've had in sometime.

The restaurant is amazing and broad, the meals was delightful and the rates were very reasonable. fast, productive service and very friendly staff members. I recommend this place.

Good standard for local Japanese. Was pleasantly surprised to have hand roll on the menu, it was good!

Good, not great overall. Dressings both above and below the tuna overwhelmed the fish in the Special Tuna Salad. Fish served with Chirashi was fresh and portions were satisfying, but the sushi rice was just a disappointment. Table service at 6 PM was slow with a busy dining room. Noise levels were moderate.

AJI sushi is a very good restaurant if you want high-quality sushi. The quality of the fish and service is always above average. Having eaten sushi all over United States I can tell you this place is very good. And when I ask for salmon roe with a quail egg on top they know exactly what I’m talking about.

I admire this restaurant! They provide decent meals, their menu is large, The chief cook in that restaurant is well trained, I enjoy a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are consistently fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the visitors is nice. I often eat in this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. Highly recommended.

Volcano roll is a volcano fake. Cute that you think scallops top this dish. Pollack and chewy imitation anyone?- yes that is what you're eating! Asked staff for recommendations and they didn't have a clue. Service is bland. Parking atrocious- but you can't blame them for parking. It honestly takes equal time on a busy night to get better food in Boston. Go to Boston or Brookline and skip this place.

Their sushi is great! One of my favorite sushi spots in Newton. My only complaint is their online menu doesn't match the one they have printed. I made the mistake of ordering from something online only to find out that it was offered. Aside from that the food is great, the staff are nice and overall the place is a must.

Presentation of food is remarkable. Also the food itself is good. Especially the spicy seafood miso soup on a cold day.

Really excellent sushi, and they are very accommodating. I've eaten in the restaurant and had a great experience, and I ordered takeout for a large party with the only guidance being "sushi for 12 people" and Aji is great at both!

We've come here several times. Sushi is solid; noodle dishes are good but veggies are used very sparingly. Some of the staff are nice, but overall have found wait staff to be... cold. Recently discovered Shogun in West Newton, which has quickly become our favorite sushi restaurant in the area - food is just as good, if not better, and service is so so warm, as is the cozy ambiance.

An unassuming workhorse, this. Average prices for average quality, average portions, and average service. Terrible acoustics and no tablecloths. Speedy service, however brusque, my companion's tasty fish and crustaceans, and a subtly well-executed nasu dengaku balanced out the negatives: rice was slightly hard and dry in rolls, tempura left that particular lingering sense of aged oil rather than the desired echo of the ingredients encased within slightly too thick batter. From what we sampled, nothing to run to per se, but nothing to run from.

Our goto sushi place -- high quality sushi, great service, nice atmosphere. Great take out option as well.

This restaurant is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. when I I need a decent lunchon, this restaurant comes straight to my head. good and varied food and a rich menu.generous crew, and good spirit. Not less important, the cost is fair. I suggest this place with pleasure.
